Why I Blog

By Andy Abramson

VoIPed Up got me thinking just how fortunate I am to be at VoN moderating a panel. I mean, less than 20 months ago I was on the outside looking in to the VON and VoIP worlds. I was not active in the space as I once was and then only as an advisor to companies. But vision has always been a strong suit of mine some would say, so while I had been to VON's before, I wasn't quite on the inside.

So what were my goals when I started the blog?

I wanted new friends in a new emerging sector. Done.

I set out to be quoted. Done.

I wanted to moderate panels. Done.

I wanted clients. Done.

I desired to help better clarify and explain this emerging technology, make it less techy in a news context, and be a go to source for others. Done.

Oh, and I've been very transparent about my motives to those who asked and by being so all of the above has come true.
